Antique 1910s Edwardian RPPC Photo Postcard Boy Collie Dog Wimbledon London:
$34.95

Up for sale is an original, authentic antique Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) dating to the Edwardian era (circa 1910–1915), documenting early 20th-century British family history.

The front of the postcard features a beautifully captured outdoor portrait of a young boy holding a vintage tool or garden hose while posing next to his large, shaggy pet dog, which resembles a rough-coated Collie or Shepherd mix. The scene shows excellent early period details, including the boy's traditional flat cap (newsboy hat), a heavy knit sweater, knickerbocker trousers, knee-high socks, and a primitive wooden stave barrel bucket resting against the garden foliage.

The reverse side delivers outstanding postal history and provenance:

- Postmark: Clear "CAMBERWELL S.E." (South East London) circular machine cancellation stamp.

- Stamp: Original green Half-Penny (1/2d) British definitive stamp.

- Addressee: Hand-addressed to "Miss Cook, 148 Merton Rd, Wimbledon."

- Message: Complete, handwritten ink message signed by "Edie" wishing the recipient "Many Happy Returns of the Day."

Features & Condition:

- Format: Original Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) / Divided Back Postal Card Stock

- Country of Origin: London, England (United Kingdom)

- Subject: Edwardian British child fashion portrait with pet Collie dog and rustic farm scene

- Condition: The front of the card displays a lovely soft sepia-toned finish with strong central clarity and minor age fading/silvering along the edges. The reverse remains very clean with crisp, highly legible vintage handwriting and firmly affixed postage. Light corner rub appropriate for a century-old collectible card. No major creases or tears.

Shipping & Packaging Protection:

To preserve its excellent antique condition and historic integrity, this postcard will be shipped with extreme care.
