Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic antique Edwardian-era pyrography (wood-burned) glove box, hand-crafted and dated exactly to Christmas Day, 1911.This long-form box is decorated in the classic Art Nouveau style with a gorgeous, deeply burned grape and vine motif. The design wraps around the top, front, and sides, showcasing detailed clusters of grapes and large grape leaves finished with their original forest-green stain. The artist utilized a painstaking stippling/hammered-texturing technique on the background to make the foliage design beautifully pop from the wood.

The back of the box features a charming, hand-written ink inscription that provides wonderful historical provenance:

\"From Mable Gray, Dec. 25, 1911, Merry Xmas.\"
