Antique 1915 NRA Jacksonville Fla Ninety Per Cent Rifle Marksmanship Medal For Sale

This authentic, original turn-of-the-century shooting sports trophy medal was officially issued at the 1915 National Matches held in Jacksonville, Florida. The antique bronze award features a beautifully styled top suspension bar sharply stamped "Jacksonville, Fla" beneath a central arched crest housing the qualification year "1915". Suspended from a central link is a detailed shield-shaped medallion boldly embossed with "Ninety Per Cent" along the perimeter. The center displays the classic early National Rifle Association of America eagle seal over crossed rifles, accompanied by the historic text "National Rifle Association of America, Incorporated 1871" and the Latin motto "E Pluribus Unum". The medal remains in excellent, untouched antique condition, showcasing an attractive, natural dark bronze patina with crisp lettering and clean strike lines. The reverse side of the top suspension bar bears a very clear hallmark stamped "V.H. Blackinton" while the rest of the reverse shows a smooth surface with natural, aged patina. The original reverse mounting pin and hinged catch mechanism are fully intact and functional. The entire piece is structurally sound, free from gouges, corrosion or metal rot.
