Original vintage IMCO IFA pocket storm lighter made in Austria, dating to approximately the mid-to-late 1920s.
This early Austrian lighter is marked “Patent No. 105107” and “Made in Austria.” The IFA design was patented by Hans Silberknopf in 1925 and manufactured by Julius Meister & Co. of Vienna.
Features IMCO’s distinctive sliding windscreen/sleeve mechanism, thumb-operated flint wheel, mechanical snuffer cap and pocket suspension rings. The IFA was an important early IMCO design and helped establish the mechanical format associated with later IMCO lighters.
Measures approximately 3.5 inches long by 1 inch wide.
Good original antique condition with substantial age-related patina, surface oxidation, discoloration, scratches and finish wear. The lighter has not been fueled or tested for lighting and is being sold as a collectible/as-is. Please examine photographs closely for completeness and condition.
