Up for sale is a beautiful, early 20th-century antique reverse-painted scenic table lamp. Based on its style, construction, and regional provenance, it is strongly attributed to the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass & Glass Co. (PLB&G) from the 1910s–1920s era.
The glass shade features a gorgeous, glowing sunset landscape scene complete with detailed trees, water, and a rocky shoreline.
It sits on a classic dark patinated metal fluted column base.
Condition Details:
• Glass Shade: Excellent structural condition with no cracks. There is some light wear and minor repaired chipping along the bottom rim, which is largely hidden when the shade is properly seated on the base. The interior reverse painting remains vivid and vibrant when lit.
• Base & Mechanics: The lamp works great. One of the light bulb sockets has been previously updated.
• Wiring Note: The lamp is currently functional, but it retains an older cord. It is recommended that the buyer replace the cord and plug to ensure modern safety standards.
A wonderful, warm accent piece perfect for any historic home or antique lighting collection.
