Antique 1927 High School Agricultural Award Medal, lst Place, "Babcock Testing" : $29.00
Antique 1927 High School Agricultural Award Medal, 1st Place, "Babcock Testing" Dairymen's Association, Nebraska. The Babcock Test was a method developed in 1890 to measure the butterfat content in milk. In the 1920s, high school agriculture students competed in regional contests to demonstrate precision in performing this standard dairy industry verification. This 1st place watch fob medal was awarded to a family member and has his initials (RE) on the back along with the mark "Sterling". Time to rehome this memorable achievement.
