Indianqueen offers this historical sterling silverpresentation heirloom which is a sterling silver Odd Fellows medal in itsoriginal casing/box. Engraved and Presented to Sister C.V. Bavington on Dec 28,1937. Meticulously inscribed on the reverse: "Independent Order of Oddfellows Manchester Unity" on front; Rear engraving reads "Presentedto Sister C V Bavington by the Loyal Hope Lodge Dec 28th 1937". Back ofmedal has three English silver hallmarks and the Initials F & S of FrankFattorini & Sons. The beautifully embellished enameled bar at the top ofthe ribbons has two English Silver hallmarks . Medal/Ribbon comes in itsoriginal ruby velvet presentation case. See Pictures Pictures are part of thedescription.100% original’ The top sterling bar has English Silver hallmarksconsisting of two picto marks of a “Lion” and an “N”, behind the “c clasp” pin.The lower sterling medal has three English silver marks of an “Anchor” a “Lion”and an “N” and to the left is inscribed “F&S” (“Frank Fattorini &Sons”) who had shops in Bradford, London, Birmingham, Skipton, Harrogate,Yorkshire, Sheffield, Glasgow from 1929 through the Mid-20th Century. (the shopwas founded by Antonio Fattorini in 1829; Antonio was born in 1797 and died in1860). All subsequent branches were managed and owned by Fattorini FamilyMembers and their heirs. Frank Fattorini & Sons were of Italian descent andEnglish Retailers specializing in "gold and silver jewelry, medals,shields, trophies, cups, badges, sterling condiment containers, fob medals,fruit knives, souvenir spoons, tea services, trophy cups, plaques, and sterlingwatch cases to name a few.
