Here is a fine antique trio of 19th-century pocket snuff boxes, showcasing classic folk art and treen craft techniques of the Georgian to Victorian eras.

​Inlaid Clover / Shamrock Hardwood Snuff Box (Center)
​Crafted from dense, figured European walnut/fruitwood with a rich natural patina.
​Features a fine, hand-inlaid white-metal four-leaf clover/shamrock cartouche on the lid.
​Fitted with a flush, multi-pin brass hinge that opens smoothly and closes flush.
​Measures approximately 3.25″ wide × 2″ deep × 0.5″ high.
​Regency Black Lacquered Papier-Mâché Snuff Box (Left)
​Finished in a lustrous deep black lacquer over dense decorated with inlaid pewter/white-metal perimeter wire stringing and a central foliate escutcheon.
​Features an integral, friction-hinged lid and clean, dry interior compartment.
​Measures approximately 2.25″ wide × 1.25″ deep × 0.75″ high.
​Miniature Carved Boxwood Snuff Box (Right)
​Turn-of-the-century late Georgian/early Victorian pocket box carved from solid boxwood.
​Incised border accents framing a faint central shield cartouche.
​Retains its original, fully functional carved wooden knuckle hinge.
​Measures approximately 2″ wide × 1.25″ deep × 0.4″ high.
​Condition:
All three boxes are structurally sound with working hinges and secure lid closures. The black lacquer box displays light surface marks and minor edge rubbing consistent with pocket use. The walnut clover box is in very good antique condition with tight grain and an intact inlay. The miniature boxwood piece has an antique drying hairline crack along the bottom front lip edge (stable, shown in close-up photos), adding authentic character to a well-traveled pocket piece.
