This came out of an estate sale near Washington County Minnesota. As you can see, there is a Washington county magnet on it which is much newer than the box. I believe this was probably made in a municipal workshop rather than a factory. The four slots seem to go along with the Minnesota election law that required four ballot boxes. One of the cans that catches the ballots has printing on it from a factory that made galvanized steel from the 1910s to the 1930s.
It measures about 38” tall and a little less than 12 x 12“
This is a unique and wonderful piece of election history!
Pick up in Hudson Wisconsin is welcome.
Thank you for looking and have a great day!
