Incredibly rare Afghan military epaulets. These are so rare that not an image exists of one anywhere in history online that I can find. They appear to be second half 19th century to me but I suppose they could be early 20th century. The construction quality is top notch, they have been very well made. They are in good antique condition with normal age related wear. One is missing a button. I was hoping the buttons might have a manufacturers mark on the back but they do not seem to. Afghanistan has been in a plethora of military conflicts throughout the period these are likely from. I’d think it likely they may have come from one of the Anglo-Afghan Wars but I’m not sure of that. This is a rare and unique item for the military collector. Shipping will be asap! Thanks
