Antique 1880\'s Ansonia Royal Bonn La Fontaine Floral Porcelain Clock.

Up for grabs is an absolutely beautiful antique Ansonia Royal Bonn \"La Fontaine\"  clock believed to date to around if not before 1890. This is a very beautiful Victorian-style/era time piece.

I believe this clock may be the best example of an unrestored clock like this one that exists anywhere today. I say this because my late grandfather obtained the clock in the mid 1950s. From that point until only a few years ago, the clock was kept on display in his smoke free home. It was believed to not be in working condition the entire time he had it.

The clock was given to me after he passed away by my grandmother after I was able to make the clock work. Since then it has been lovingly taken care of and is working nicely.

The case of the clock and paint are as best I can tell flawless! All it will need to be like new will be to replace the   white dial face and remove some black oxidation (or stain) from the decorative metal that runs around the circumference of the face.

The brass around the glass door appears to only need polishing. The movement seems to be very clean. It has never been cleaned by me or my family. I\'m sure that a true clock collector will give the works a cleaning for good measure.

The clock features intricate floral patterns and Roman numerals, this wind-up clock is a striking piece for any room. Made of porcelain, ceramic, and most likely brass and steel, this clock has a very unique and charming appearance.

This sale will prove to be a great opportunity for ANY time piece enthusiast and/or collector. A period home decorum enthusiast would do well by placing this colorful beauty in a Victorian era theme.
