Up for sale is a beautiful antique ladies' compact cigarette case or damentabatiere from the early 20th century. The front features a striking, high-gloss deep cobalt blue enamel finish accented by a centrally mounted ornate metal medallion depicting a classic basket or urn filled with flowers.
The reverse of the case is clad in a fine, textured black saffiano or goatskin leather, matching the clean interior pockets.
When unlatched, the case opens flat to reveal an elegant cream-colored silk/satin lining with two opposed, expandable black leather slip pockets designed to hold small cigarettes, business cards, or small notes.
