The English sovereign rocker was the popular counterfeit coin detector of the 19th century. It was attractive in design, easy to use and truly pocket-seized: the construction was rugged, and there was little to go wrong. Balance rockers were used in Europe and the Middle-East for many centuries. The earliest documented reference to a rocker balance in England is in 1778. Most varieties of the sovereign balance have been catalogued in "SOVEREIGN BALANCES; 1 - Standard Rockers" by Michael A. Crawforth.(1983) The last photo in the listing is an example of a balance scale variety taken from this rare reference.

  #1. Obtain an RMA # from us first. Write this RMA # on the front of your package.

  #2. All returns must be received in the exact condition you received it in. Coin flips are heat-sealed to prevent the switching of coins. This is industry standard practice. If this seal is broken showing the coin has been removed, your return will not be processed. Your coin will be returned to you immediately with no refund. Coin slab holders must not be damaged.

  #3. Returns must be received back to us no later than 30 days. No exceptions. Refunds are typically processed within 1-2 days of receipt, often the same day. There may be an occasion that we are out of the office attending a coin convention, but we will message you acknowledging receipt of your return and when to expect your refund.

  #4. When returning items, please package securely AND insure for full value. We cannot assume responsibility for items lost or damaged in delivery. The buyer is responsible for the returned item until tracking shows delivered to us.
