Up for purchase: Antique cast brass/bronze/copper, Ship, Doorstop Decorative Art Speaker Frame Fireplace, what-you-have-it. There are a lot of cast iron ship pieces like this, but good luck finding one made of cast brass(or what ever it\'s made of, certainly NOT iron). There are area\'s on the piece that are turning greenish. It has a lot of patina, just the way I got it. There are a couple of X\'s as far as marks on the back, but that\'s it. It is old, but I don\'t know how old. It was purcased at an estate sale on the Oregon Coast.From the net: Another type of tarnish isverdigris. This is a blue or green coloured substance which appears on old copper, brass and sterling. Verdigris is formed from a combination of oxygen, water and environmental pollutants.
It measures: 17\"x17\" and weighs 10lbs.
