Antique Chinese Qing Rice Grain Porcelain Bowl Crane Lotus Gilt Kangxi Mark For Sale

Antique pre-owned Chinese rice-grain porcelain bowl, attributed to the late Qing to early Republic period, circa 1880–1920.This delicately decorated bowl features translucent, glaze-filled rice-shaped openings, known as linglong or rice-grain decoration. Light shines through these tiny windows, beautifully highlighting the pattern when the bowl is illuminated. The interior features a blue-and-white crane and lotus design surrounded by an iron-red scroll border, with stylized bats decorating the inner rim. Colorful floral scrollwork and gilt accents enrich the exterior. The underside bears a Kangxi reign mark, used here as a tribute to earlier porcelain rather than an indication of manufacture during the Kangxi reign.Measures approximately 4.75 inches in diameter × 2.25 inches tall.Condition: There is a small, mostly smooth indentation along the rim, with a slight difference in rim height on either side. It may be an original manufacturing irregularity, although a tiny old rim chip cannot be ruled out. Please see the close-up photographs. No cracks or repairs observed.
