This handsome volume combines the visual splendor of a deluxe Edwardian gift book with an extraordinary variety of children's stories, poetry, fairy tales, humorous animal adventures, and Christmas entertainments.
The binding is particularly striking:rich red publisher's cloth with elaborate gilt lettering and a large gilt pictorial design of two children on the front cover, complemented by decorative gilt spine stamping, beveled board edges, patterned endpapers, andall edges gilt. Its brilliant coloring and attractive proportions make it an exceptional decorative book for display.
