Authentic antique engraving of Civil War General George McClellan by R. Dudensing. General McClellan was the General in Chief of the Armies of the United States. The bottom engraving depicts the Battle of Rich Mountain which was a turning point in McCellan\'s career. The union victory propelled McCellan to the command of the Army of the Potomac. Later in life he served as the Governor of NJ.  Richard Dudensing (1833–1899) was a German-born portrait and landscape engraver, book publisher, and educator who was active in New York City from around 1857 until his death.
