Antique Cobalt Blue *MELVIN & BADGER APOTHECARIES* Medicine Bottle Rarer 6.5” For Sale

Up for grabs is this beautiful deep cobalt blue BIM *Melvin & Badger Apothecaries* medicine bottle from Boston! (If you’re familiar with the Melvin & Badger Poison Bottles they are HIGHLY sought after!) Standing a rarer 6.5” tall with the logo slug plate strike right in the center. In great condition but not without its flaws. Just to preface, this would be a great candidate for a tumble! It appears to be a dug bottle. There is some, mostly exterior, stain on the panels and neck of the bottle. Possibly some, but less, interior stain. It has two dings on the bottom corners. One a little larger than the other. I had a really hard time deciding if it had a flash crack, but upon further examination it seems there is a bubble right in the corner of the bottle. I am not 100% certain, but this bottle does have its fair share of bubbles including one fairly close to the flaw. In my opinion I don’t see a crack, just an interior bubble and the exterior corner chip. I would advise you to investigate the photos thoroughly before purchasing! No cracks throughout the bottle. No lip chips. Possible scrape or open surface bubble on TOP of the lip. Bottom is embossed W.T.CO for Whittall Tatum Company. It looks like this bottle was double stamped with the embossed “2” and “U.S.A.” so that’s a fun little error. All in all this bottle looks fantastic on display, and maybe with a little TLC, it could be a real center piece! **Sold AS-IS**
