Beautiful antique Czechoslovakian / Bohemian cut crystal perfume bottle with an elaborate frosted floral wreath stopper, dating approximately to the 1930s–1940s.
The large clear crystal stopper is decorated with an intricate frosted/intaglio floral design featuring roses and flowers surrounding a wreath, tied with a bow and trailing ribbon, with elongated lattice and foliage decoration extending down the stopper.
The substantial low-profile bottle contrasts beautifully with the floral stopper and is extensively decorated with geometric cutting, including star and fan motifs, deep polished facets and cut borders.
The stopper has a ground-glass plug fitting into the bottle’s ground neck and appears well matched to the bottle.
This style of elaborate floral stopper is associated with Czechoslovakian/Bohemian perfume and vanity glass of the Art Deco era, and comparable Czech examples are documented with floral and rose-wreath stoppers.
Details: Clear Bohemian/Czech crystal; cut and polished geometric bottle; frosted floral/intaglio stopper; rose/wreath/bow motif; ground-glass stopper and neck; approximately 1930s–1940s; no maker’s signature observed.
