This is very handsome Antique English Ink Blotter.
Crocodile Leather mounted in Silver.
I believe that this is an Art Deco piece - dating from the 1930\'s.
The Blotter measures 4 1/2 inches by 3 1/4 inchesand stands 2 1/2 inches tall to the top of the knob.
The Crocodile leather is a very rich Cordovan in perfectpristine condition.
The Silver Band surrounding the Crocodile Leather is 3/4inch wide.
I cannot locate any Silver Markings and therefore cannotguarantee that the Silver is Sterling however I am confidentthat it is Sterling Silver.
It is marked: Aristocrat Made in England
The Blotter paper is very clean unused condition.
The Sides of the Blotter - between the Silver Rim andthe Blotter Paper - are made of what appears to be Ebonywhich would be fitting for a piece of this quality.
