Antique E.N. Welch Gingerbread /Parlor Clock - Circa 1890
Beautiful original antique American mechanical clock manufactured by E.N. Welch, one of the well-known Connecticut clockmakers of the late 19th century.
This ornate gingerbread-style clock features a highly decorative pressed wood case, Roman numeral dial, brass-tone pendulum, decorative lower glass, key-wound mechanical movement and coiled gong.
Based on the E.N. Welch markings, case style and construction, the clock is believed to date to approximately 1885-1900, making it roughly 125-140 years old.
