An exquisite and highly collectible antique pocket fob seal / pendant dating from the late Georgian to early Victorian era (circa 1820-1840). Crafted in solid 9-karat yellow gold, this beautiful piece was historically worn on a pocket watch chain (chatelaine) and now makes a spectacular, meaningful pendant charm.
Design & SymbolismThe base features an octagonal-shaped dark blue glass paste (tassie) intaglio, deeply hand-carved with a classic Neoclassical motif: a **Dove of Peace holding an olive branch in its beak**.In the 19th-century language of love and friendship, this symbol was used on personal letters to convey hope, reconciliation, and "good tidings" (often associated with the French motto *"Je apporte la paix"* / "I bring peace").

Condition ReportExcellent antique condition. The gold has a gorgeous, rich warm hue with a beautiful historical patina. The glass intaglio shows only minor, tiny nibbles/flea bites along the edges consistent with its age, but the carved image remains very sharp and creates a clear, perfect impression in wax.
