Antique H.K.B. Safe Cure patent medicine bottle manufactured and prepared by United Chemical Co., Califon, New Jersey.Large clear glass bottle measures approximately 9 inches tall and features prominent embossed lettering reading:“THE H.K.B. SAFE CURE
FOR THE HEART KIDNEY AND BLADDER”A particularly nice surviving example retaining its original paper H.K.B. Safe Cure label as well as an old cork stopper. The paper label identifies United Chemical Co., Incorporated, Califon, N.J., and includes the original directions for use.Bottle is in antique, as-found condition. The original paper label has considerable age, discoloration, tears and areas of loss. Glass shows normal age-related haze, staining, residue, scratches and surface wear. There is age-related residue/discoloration visible inside and around the bottom of the bottle. Cork is old and worn.No attempt has been made to clean, restore or remove the cork.Please examine all photographs closely for exact condition, label completeness, embossing and measurements.
