Antique HAND BLOWN ETCHED GLASS Beer Stein W Lid ENAMEL OVERLAY Bohemia Germany
Size Approx. 6.5\" Tall [with handle] x 3 5/8\"Across base, top opening approx. 2.75\"
Design is incredible- hand blown glass stein has hand etched hops leaves woven through a hand etched oval and dot design. Within the ovals there are 4 emerald green enameled sections on each. Very collectible, not a common one.

The style of the pewter attachment to the glass is very specific to the late 1800s- a claw-like ring with a grooved shell thumb rest. Very fine rope-style pewter trim around rim of lid.
Etched 0,.4L as a calibration mark just above glass handle. This is a European measurement.
Excellent condition, pristine for age, no nicks chips cracks or damage of any kind. Colors glossy and deep. Pewter lid is not bent or dented, hinge is secure. Opens easily and smoothly. Stays open when in UP position. See all pics and use zoom, size in description.
