This is an antique container of cylindrical form intended to hold cosmetic material called kohl. The container is decorated with raised stippling motifs and has a squat neck covered with a petite cap; an applicator is attached to the lid via a slender chain. Kohl has been used for thousands of years to mitigate the intense desert sun rays from damaging one's eyes. It is in very good antique condition for its age. Measurements are 2 inches tall from
