​Up for sale is an authentic, matched pair of antique solid cast brass/bronze mail chute collection doors manufactured by the Cutler Mail Chute Co. of Rochester, New York. These iconic architectural salvage pieces were originally used in early 20th-century high-rise office buildings and post office collection systems. These were sourced from San Francisco in the aftermath of the 1989 Earthquakes. Removed and preserved from a historical business that was demolished.

Set Includes:

• ​"U.S. MAIL / CUTLER MAIL CHUTE CO / ROCHESTER N.Y." Door – Features heavy raised lettering, top brass drop handle, and side hinge knuckles.

• ​"PACKAGES" Door – Features heavy raised lettering, original key lock cylinder, and bottom hinge knuckles.

• ​Material: Heavy, solid cast brass or bronze with a rich natural vintage patina.

• ​Design: Beautiful relief rope/bamboo border detailing.

• ​Condition: Pre-owned antique architectural salvage condition. Shows normal age-appropriate surface wear, minor oxidation, and surface patina. No cracks or major structural breaks. Key for the package lock is not included.
