Beautiful Japanese Imari style porcelain display plate.
The face of the plate features an exquisite, hand-painted central medallion depicting birds in flight over a traditional pagoda estate nestled in a mountainous river landscape. The serene inner scene is beautifully framed by an intricate, geometric paneled border filled with vibrant iron-red chrysanthemums, rich navy underglaze blue scrollwork, and hand-applied gold gilt accents.
The underside bears an important overglaze red enamel mark within an oval frame. Please see photos for exact condition details.
