An exceptional, complete 15-piece antique Japanese export porcelain tea service dating to the Meiji Period (1868–1912). This exquisite set features a delicate, entirely hand-painted underglaze blue and white bamboo design.
✨ THE MASTER POTTER'S MARK:
The base of the pieces features a hand-painted, four-character cobalt blue mark reading right to left: 「大日本美濃 加藤製」 (Dai Nippon Mino Katō Sei). This translates to "Great Japan, Mino Province, Made by Katō." The Katō family potters from the historic Mino region (renowned for fine Mino Ware / Mino-yaki) were celebrated globally during the late 1800s for producing exceptionally fine, eggshell-thin export ceramics.
