Beautiful set of 9 antique John Edwards “Maine” luncheon plates, made in England circa 1891–1900. Each plate features teal-green floral transfer decoration with hand-applied gold gilt accents, an ornate scalloped rim, and lovely age-related character. Marked Porcelaine de Terre, John Edwards, England, Maine. A scarce-to-market Victorian Staffordshire pattern with wonderful cottage and antique tableware appeal.
Condition:
Antique condition with visible crazing, age-related discoloration, and some expected wear/loss to the gilt decoration. One plate has about a two inch crack and it does make the plate a little fragile, two of the plates have very small chips. Please review photos closely for individual condition.
