Antique Limoges T&V Hand Painted Blue Birds Tray w/Noritake Nippon Hair Receiver For Sale

This exquisite antique vanity tray and hair receiver are hand painted and depict blue birds in flight against a background of delicate blue flowers. The signed tray is made by Tressman & Vogt (T&V), a renowned French porcelain manufacturer and decorating firm founded in Limoges, France in 1883 by Emilien Tressemanes and Gustave Vogt. The company operated until they retired in 1907. At that time Gustave Vogt took over sole ownership and renamed the firm Porcelaine Gustave Vogt. Therefore, the tray is a true antique and likely over 120 years old. The hair receiver is stamped Noritake Nippon and also likely antique, probably from the 1910s to 1920s. Because the hand painting is indistinguishable from the tray, I am selling them together. The tray measures approximately 11 x 8 inches and the feet elevate it approximately 1 1/4 inches. The hair receiver measure about 3 3/4 inches across, and the feet elevate it about 1 inch. Together they weigh about 1 3/4 pounds.
