The machine is in antique, unrestored condition.

• The start/stop lever does not consistently remain engaged on its own and must be manually held in position for continuous play. The lever mechanism may benefit from adjustment or servicing.
• One comb tooth is missing, resulting in a single absent note during play. All remaining comb teeth are intact.
• Decorative lower beading shows minor loss/wear consistent with age.
• Cabinet retains original finish with age-appropriate wear.
• Winding handle runs smoothly
• Interior lithograph panel remains vibrant and intact.
• Discs are flat with no cracks or splits observed.

Description:

Offered is an original turn-of-the-century disc music box manufactured by the Perfection Music Box Company of Newark, New Jersey, circa 1898–1905. Original wooden cabinet with decorative lower beading and interior lithograph panel.

Included discs measure approximately 14 inches in diameter.

The music box includes eight original Perfection lithographed steel discs:

• 2003 – Star Spangled Banner
• 2121 – Columbia the Gem of the Ocean
• 2042 – My Old Kentucky Home
• 2054 – Banks of the Wabash
• 2112 – Bird in the Gilded Cage
• 2082 – Hot Time in the Old Town
• 2099 – Huntsmen’s Chorus
• 2073 – Flower Song

These selections represent patriotic, parlor, classical, and popular repertoire of the late 19th and early 20th century and provide a strong starter library for the next owner.
