Antique Miniature Single Chain Fusee Boulle Mantel Clock With Mother Of Pearl.This lovely antique single fusee boulle clock has a beautiful red tortoise shell case with a lovely hour glass style shape. The case is then inlaid with intricate, scrolling brass work which sets the piece off beautifully. The case also features areas with mother of pearl inlay which is extremely unusual to see on a boulle clock. The case then has a lovely gilt mount the the top front of the case as well as being finished by four \"maidens head\" shaped feet.
The dial is then gilt and set out in black, engraved Roman numerals with a thin ring to the outside marking the minutes. The centre of the dial is then engraved with a lovely scrolling design. The dial is then finished with two nicely shaped, gilt hands as well as a gilt bezel although unfortunately there is no glass.
The movement is then both wound and accessed from the back. It is a single chain fusee example of the upmost quality and has a fantastic, extremely rare hour glass shape to match the case. Unfortunately the movement isn\'t currently working although i\'m sure it could be put back to working condition with a service.
