DESCRIPTION:
This truly is a stunning Victorian Oak Bracket / Mantel clock. The case incorporates some lovely carvings and panels of decorative brass. This is a superb clock made by the renowned makers Winterhalder & Hofmeier, GERMANY. A lovely feature is that the movement is lovely being quarter striking with a \'ting tang\' strike. If you are looking for an exquisite clock, this one will surly fit the bill.
The top is arched and has a lovely brass panel, it is then flanked by lovely brass acorn finials. The door with lovely thick bevelled glass, opens to access the dial. The dial is a work of art in it\'s own right. The dial is brass and has a separate chapter ring which is beautifully etched with Roman Numerals with small Arabic numerals above, between the numerals is further beautifully etched. Around the chapter ring is adorned withlovely detailedspandrels and it is finished with a super pair of shaped fingers.
The dial is flanked by lovely carved detailing and there is another lovely decorative panel of brass below the dial.To the sides are lovely carved detailing.It is very difficult to convey through photographs the level of fantastic workmanship which has gone into this clock.
The clock is happily ticking away and keeping good time. The clock chimes one \'ting tang\' on the quarter past, two \'ting tangs\' on the half past and three \'ting tangs\' on the quarter to.Finally it then strikes the hours on the hour.The movement is access via a door to the rear this has a lovely lyle shaped fretted panel which is lined in red fabric. The movement is stamped with with the \' W & H Sch O\' which is the trademark for the renowned makers Winterhalder & Hofmeier, GERMANY who made high quality clocks mainly for the English market. In addition this clock comes complete with it\'s winding key and pendulum.

The case is in lovely condition just minor knocks / marks commensurate with age as can be seen from the photographs. The clock is happily ticking and striking away and keeping good time. Thereare a couple of shrinkage cracks above and below the dial and to the right side of the top, please view close up photograph.
