For sale is a fantastic, turn-of-the-century Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) depicting a large gathering of summer visitors on the sandy beach in front of a grand shingle-style coastal estate. Based on the architectural styling and matching regional ephemera, this card features a prominent Dutch Gambrel-roof beachfront cottage or early boarding house along the Atlantic coast in Ocean City, New Jersey, during its golden era as a premier seaside resort community.
The front shows a razor sharp, real photographic print capturing a fascinating snapshot of Edwardian-era beach fashion. An expansive crowd of men in summer suits and boater hats alongside women in structured, high-collared white blouses and long skirts. Note the tiny detail of four individuals standing atop the natural dune crest to the far left.
The back is unposted and features the collectible \"CYKO\" logo stamp box outline. The specific logo dates the photo paper stock primarily between 1904 and 1920.
