Antique RS Prussia Red Mark Demitasse Cup Saucer Victorian Lady Portrait Gold For Sale

This antique fine porcelain demitasse cup and matching saucer set was produced by R.S. Prussia (Reinhold Schlegelmilch). It features a central portrait medallion of a classical Victorian lady surrounded by raised gold gilt laurel wreaths, draped garlands, and soft rose-pink floral swags over a pale celadon-green and ivory ground.

• Maker & Marks: Underside of the cup bears the authentic red RS Prussia wreath-and-star factory backstamp ("RS PRUSSIA" with red star and laurel wreath), dating the piece circa 1870s–1910. The saucer is unmarked, as was common with factory-matched saucers of this period.

• Design & Form:

  • The cup features a lobed, petal-molded body with an ornate, gilded angular handle, a scalloped rim, and interior gilt scrollwork along the upper border.

  • The saucer displays a corresponding lobed, scalloped rim highlighted with delicate gold gilt lace accents and coordinating pastel shading.

• Cup: 1.5 inches high × 2.5 inches wide (3.25 inches long including handle).
