Antique Remington UMC R3065 Acorn Shield 3 Blade Cattle Stockman Pocket Knife
Vintage large 3-blade Cattle Stockman pocket knife manufactured by the historic Remington Arms Company / Union Metallic Cartridge Co. at their Bridgeport, Connecticut factory. The master clip blade tang features the circular "REMINGTON / U.M.C." enclosed hallmark, and the reverse secondary tang is stamped with the clear model number R3065. This heavy-duty, highly collectible American utility folder dates to Remington's premium pre-war production era, manufactured between 1924 and 1933.
The knife features sleek, jet-black smooth composition handle scales housing a flush-fit nickel silver Acorn motif signature shield on the display side. Based on the factory design layout, the handle frame measures exactly 4 inches when closed. This traditional Premium Stockman houses three full folding high-carbon cutlery steel implements: a master clip point blade, a secondary spear point pen blade, and a heavy-duty three-sided harness leather punch awl tool featuring an integrated thumb-lifter kick.
The item is in excellent, highly collectable vintage condition. The smooth black handle scales are magnificently preserved, flush-fit along the liners, and entirely free of cracks, chips, or pin fractures. All three carbon steel blades remain thick and full, showing only minor period sharpening wear while preserving original factory geometric lines. The steel surfaces carry an honest, uncleaned dark gray age patina with widespread light surface pocket tarnish, carbon spot freckling, and minor superficial oxidation lines. Mechanically, this piece is outstanding: all three tools operate under rigid backspring tension and deliver an excellent, highly pronounced good mechanical snap with a smooth walk and talk upon opening and closing. Solid brass liners, pins, and rounded nickel silver bolsters remain completely tight and stable. Please look at the high resolution photos for condition details, if you have any questions, just ask
