Antique Rockford Seed Company Wood Box Store Display FULL of SeedsThis is a VERY RARE Find, there are boxes out there but None are this full of seeds.While I haven\'t been able to pinpoint the exact date, I have arrived at the conclusion that it is 1910 at the latest, and likely is earlier.You have to go back to 1909 to find advertising that is exclusively from Rockford Seed Company. After this time, they joined with Buckbee seeds and you will see reference to Rockford Seed Farms. This group later became Shumway.
This is coming from an estate where the person ran a roadside vegetable farm in Minnesota and it was one of her prized possessions that she kept inside a store display cabinet. Also to protect the seed packets, she had a sheet of plexiglass cut to fit the top of the box. This will be included.
The box measures 27 inches wide 12 inches deep and 5 inches tall.There must be a couple hundred packages of seed.
