I haven’t ran this clock continuously for days and days at a time, but it will always wind, run and keep recently good time during the times that I have tested it. That said, I’m sure that if you wanted to use this clock in the future that a cleaning would be advisable. The clock is in a monogrammed leather case which has a few nicks and marks. The case is fairly tight and has a push type closure with release. The lock will catch, but it’s a little sketchy and doesn’t work probably as well as it should.
