Antique Sèvres Porcelain Navy Blue Gold Ivy Monogram Bowl 1921/1924 France
This elegant antique bowl features a deep navy blue border richly decorated with scrolling gold ivy leaves, delicate floral sprigs, fine gilt edging and an ornate “M” monogram.
The underside bears authentic Sèvres factory marks including:
S 1921 DA manufacture mark
Doré à Sèvres 1924 gilding mark
Made in France
The French Ministry of Culture confirms that Sèvres pieces from this period used separate marks identifying manufacture date, porcelain body, gilding and individual workshop work.
Measures approximately 9" diameter.
There is a couplesmall chips/notches along the rim, clearly shown in the photographs, along with light age-related wear to the gilding and surface consistent with its approximately 100-year age.
