On sale is a pair of Satsuma ware figurines of an old man and woman, complete with their original broom and rake.
These figures are painted all over with gold and ornate hand painted designs, a signature of Satsuma ware.
The figures are 20th century, Showa era and despite their age, have no damage or marks; they are in effectively mint condition. They are stamped on the base by the maker and measure:
Man: 31 cm tall x 18 cm wide x 14 cm base. weight 1.950kg
Woman: 29cm tall x 16 cm wide x 10.5 cm base. Weight 1.488kg.
Combined weight of 2.438kg.
This is a great pair for anyone who is enthusiastic about Satsuma ware.
