Antique silver-mounted dress knife (dirk style) with its leather sheath, estimated late 19th to early 20th century.
• Blade: Steel, double-edged spear point, 4 inches long. It has pitting and age toning, as shown in the photos. It has not been cleaned or sharpened.
• Handle: Smooth turned grip in a pale material. The material is unverified, so I'm not representing it as, bone, or any other specific material.
• Silver mounts: The pommel cap and guard collars have ornate acanthus-leaf relief work. "STERLING" is stamped on two of the handle collars.
• Sheath: Brown leather with a silver mount at the top. There is a faint, worn mark on the mount that I can't read. No maker's name has been found.
• Condition: Honest age wear. The silver has dark tarnish in the crevices, and I left it uncleaned. The leather is worn and darkened, and there is some roughness at the sheath mouth. See all photos, and ask if you need more.
• Maker and date: Unidentified. The date is estimated from the style and the sterling stamp.
Sold as-is. Please read the description and look at the photos before buying.
