**Material:** Tin/Lead Metal Alloy (Nuea Dibuk) plate inside an unpolished brass frame
**Origin:** Thailand**Description:**
For your consideration is this striking, authentic antique Thai Buddhist votive plaque. The interior plate is cast in relief from a traditional Southeast Asian metal alloy of tin and lead, showcasing the beautifully weathered silhouette of a standing or walking Buddha figure housed beneath a protective temple arch doorway. The plaque is securely set into a heavy, rectangular brass frame featuring a beautiful classic "Gothic / Temple Arch" frame silhouette with a top hanging loop. The back plate consists of an unpolished, heavily oxidized iron/steel backing layer which completely secures the inner metal amulet. Per authentic historic assembly practices for this specific style of large regional temple plaque, this item does not feature glass over the face. **Condition Notes:**
Vintage/Antique condition with significant, honest signs of age. The inner tin plate shows heavy oxidation, loss of fine detail, pitting, and a rich dark patina acquired over many decades of handling and devotional use. The rear steel plate displays heavy rust blooming and pitting. The front brass frame has a wonderful dull, unpolished golden patina with natural tarnish spots. Please study all high-resolution photos carefully as they serve as the primary description of condition and completeness.
