Up for sale is an authentic antique Victorian silverplate chatelaine cylinder case, made by the renowned English maker Hukin & Heath. This piece features ornate embossed/repoussé scrollwork bands bordering both the lid and the base, complemented by a smooth cylindrical body.
It is fitted with an attached safety link chain designed to secure the cap and suspend from a chatelaine belt, dance purse, or necklace chain. Originally designed as a needle/bodkin case or scent vial holder, it also makes a wonderful antique vanity collectible, toothpick case, or vintage lipstick/pill holder.
