Antique WAPAK #10 Cast Iron Skillet For Sale

This is an antique #10 cast iron skillet by Wapak Hollow Ware Co. of Wapakoneta, Ohio. The Cast Iron Collector\'s website dates the use of this block logo to 1903-1910. The bottom has a ghost mark of some kind which appears to be a mold or pattern number that didn\'t form correctly in the casting. The skillet is absolutely flat with no wobble or spin. There are small imperfections in the casting which present as voids in the iron. This is not unusual for skillets of this vintage. The skillet has been reconditioned using a lie bath to strip the organics, steel wool and dish detergent to clean the surface, and then seasoned 3 times with crisco. It\'s an exceptional skillet that I would classify as collectible. Of course, it\'s also just a great fry pan.
