Antique Wallendorf German Bisque Porcelain Piano Baby Sliding Ball Figurine 6\" For Sale

Measurements: Approx. 6 in L x 3 in W 3.75 in HThis is a rare and beautiful, authentic antique German Wallendorf bisque porcelain \"piano baby\" figurine, in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It does appear to have a pencil mark on left forearm, small one on right bicep as well as right outside thigh, and some random dirt marks in areas. Please see pics, very nice condition overall!
Origin & Age:Manufactured in Lichte, Germany by the renowned porcelain company Wallendorf, this piece dates to the late Victorian or Edwardian era, circa 1880s–1910s. The company was famous for the expressive and lifelike faces of their character figurines.Description:The figurine is made of high-quality bisque porcelain, which has a desirable matte, unglazed finish that was popular for these types of figures. It depicts a charming sliding baby with hands extended for ball and rosy, hand-painted cheeks/facial features. The baby wears a delicately molded white loincloth between legs. The attention to detail in the facial features, including the expressive eyes, is characteristic of Wallendorfs artistry. The number 1764 (year Wallendorf established) with Wallendorf signature stamped company markings (W and crown) which are located on the bottom gold hand painted of base.
