Up for sale is an authentic Waterbury Clock Company \"Miniature Longcase\" novelty Grandfather Clock. The clock is mahogany and was made in the mid to late 1890\'s. The clock has a mechanical wind up works and runs great. I wound it up and ran it for over an hour while I was working on this listing. The face of the clock is white with black hands and graphic. The Waterbury logo is just below the \"12\". The bottom of the face has a smaller face dial with a sweep second hand. The clock makes a distinct ticking and it count the seconds.
This clock is in wonderful condition, considering it is over 130 years old. The front mahogany panels has inlaid gold and black boarders. The face has a brass ring, which has a nice patina. The only condition issues I can find are: The top, back left corner has a chipped corner. There is also a small dent on the trim right below the face in the front. There are also a few minor scratches and marks....not an issue. The only other thing I can see is the top of the front looks like there might have been a scroll that extended a little higher.Even with the minor condition issues, this Antique clock looks great.
