This is an authentic antique Wedgwood “Dominion of Canada – Montreal” crested cabinet plate, made in Etruria, England during the early 1900s. It features the beautiful Dominion of Canada coat of arms surrounded by rich red and black transfer decoration with a scalloped edge that absolutely screams, “Victorian tourists had exquisite taste.”
This wasn’t meant for everyday dinner. This was a display piece—a souvenir someone proudly carried home from Montreal over a century ago. Somehow it made it all the way here without becoming driveway gravel, and frankly that’s impressive.
