Antique c. 1920s-1930s Handmade Double Wedding Ring Quilt - Premium Cutter / Craft / Repurpose
Offered for sale is a breathtaking piece of American textile history. This is an authentic, entirely hand-pieced and hand-quilted Double Wedding Ring quilt dating to the 1920s or 1930s.
The craftsmanship on this piece is spectacular. The hand-quilting is incredibly dense, featuring remarkably tiny, uniform stitches following intricate curved and grid-work motifs that are exceptionally rare to find in modern pieces. The rings are filled with a gorgeous variety of genuine early 20th-century pastel prints, plaids, and solids. It is approx. Queen size and features a classic scalloped perimeter edge.
CONDITION & WEAR (PLEASE READ):
This heirloom quilt has been deeply loved and well-worn over the last century. It is being sold strictly AS-IS as a "CUTTER QUILT" for crafting, salvaging, or repurposing.
It features significant wear characteristic of its age, including fabric shredding on several of the individual print patches within the rings, some popped seams, and breakthrough holes through the top layers (please examine all close-up photos carefully). The batting is thin and classic to the era.
Why this is a premium cutter piece:
Despite the fabric wear on the colored rings, the structural hand-quilting across the vast white background blocks remains incredibly tight, stable, and strong. There are massive, clean sections of beautifully stitched textile perfectly suited for high-end repurposing projects—such as vintage teddy bears, holiday stockings, quilted outerwear/jackets, throw pillows, or framed textile Size: Queen Size
