Offered here is a vintage 8\" x 10\" color portrait titled:
“Prime Crew of Fifth Manned Apollo Mission”
Featuring the historic Apollo 11 crew:
Neil A. Armstrong
Michael Collins
Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr.
This commemorative portrait shows the three astronauts in their NASA suits with the moon backdrop. The bottom margin identifies each crew member by name.
On the reverse is a handwritten inscription reading:
“Compliments Congressman James G. Fulton”
James G. Fulton served as a U.S. Congressman from Pennsylvania from 1945–1971, placing this piece firmly within the Apollo era.
This is not an autographed astronaut photo and does not bear a NASA photo code or credit line. It appears to be a commercially printed commemorative portrait from the late 1960s or early 1970s, likely distributed through a congressional office.
This portrait was found stored inside a vintage 1970s oversized book, where it remained flat and protected for decades.
A nice piece of space history with political-era provenance.
Measures approximately 8\" x 10\".
Condition
Vintage pre-owned condition.
Light edge wear and mild age toning consistent with long-term storage. There are some very light superficial surface marks that become visible when viewed at certain angles under direct light, but they are not distracting under normal display. No major creases or tears observed. Reverse bears handwritten “Compliments Congressman James G. Fulton.” Photo was stored flat for decades.
