Apollo 14 Lunar Surface Safety Line Segment with Presentation Letter For Sale

Authentic Apollo 14 Lunar Surface Safety Line segment, flown to the moon and back during the February 1971 mission. This incredibly rare piece of space history comes with a formal presentation letter on NASA Manned Spacecraft Center stationery.The letter is hand-signed by the complete Apollo 14 crew: Alan B. Shepard, Jr., Stuart Roosa, and Edgar D. Mitchell. It was originally presented to Mrs. Joan J. Cowan in appreciation for her support of the mission. The safety line segment is encased in a laminated commemorative card noting the dates Jan. 31 - Feb. 9, 1971.Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. The documentation shows some aging, including yellowing and slight wear consistent with a 50+ year old historical document. A true museum-quality collectible for any space exploration enthusiast.
